For the last 17 years, Mr. Kazmar's practice has been exclusive to divorce and family law cases.  Mr. Kazmar routinely resolves the vast majority cases through negotiation and settlement. Where all alternatives have been exhausted, however, he has a distinguished record of courtroom success.

Mr. Kazmar is highly skilled in navigating complex child custody matters, both inside and outside of the courtroom setting. Mr. Kazmar has a track record of success addressing a wide range custody issues, including unique custody arrangements/agreements, parental alienation concerns, restricting parental responsibilities, dealing with a narcissistic parent and relocation cases. Mr. Kazmar customarily works with child psychologists and custody evaluators, and is very proficient with relevant psychological literature that he draws upon in representing the interests of his clients.

Mr. Kazmar has extensive knowledge of financial principles applicable to divorce, which enables superior asset/liability allocation, discovery of hidden income/assets, optimal tax allocation and support payment litigation.  Examples of specific contexts include litigation involving:

Luke Kazmar is an honors graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he obtained a B.A. degree in economics, which he attended as the Notre Dame Club of Chicago Scholar. Mr. Kazmar obtained his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and was thereafter admitted to the Illinois Bar.
